Guinness World Records title attempt
36 hours of nonstop bowls. Two players, one world-record attempt — for men's mental health.
Jamie Croft and Matt Noble are attempting a Guinness World Records title: the longest marathon playing outdoor bowls. They're aiming for 36 hours of continuous play, beating the current 32h 34m record, on the green of a 217-year-old club. Free to watch. In aid of men's mental health charity Menfulness.

Some games stop. This one's built not to. On Saturday 1 August 2026, Jamie Croft and Matt Noble walk onto the green at Newark Town Bowls Club — a club that has stood for 217 years — and begin a single, unbroken game of outdoor lawn bowls. They won't stop when it gets dark. They won't stop overnight. They're aiming to keep going for 36 hours, into the Sunday, to claim a Guinness World Records title for the longest marathon playing outdoor bowls and beat the current record of 32 hours 34 minutes. It will be hard. That's the point. They're playing for Menfulness, a men's mental health charity, because endurance — carrying on quietly when it's tough — is something a lot of men know, and too often face alone. The Endless Game makes that visible, and worth getting behind. It's free to come and watch, any time across the weekend. Bring the family, bring a chair, bring a friend who could do with a reason to get out. And whether or not you're there, you can help them keep going — every donation pushes the total, and the players, a little further.
